FOUNTAIN CITY, WI (January 20, 2010) – MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY owners Tom & Tina Lockner and Bob & Paula Timm are excited to announce that the
2010 racing season will open with a little pre-season THUNDER! Saturday March 27th, race fans are invited to visit Sugar Loaf Ford of Winona for an up-close
and personal viewing of racing machinery at the 2010 MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY car show!
Race cars from divisions scheduled to compete at the West-Central Wisconsin dirt track throughout the 2010 season will be on display within the comfortable
indoor confines of Sugar Loaf Ford of Winona. The viewing public need not be concerned with the weather outside, as the climate controlled atmosphere inside
will be perfect for viewing, picture taking, autographs, and comfortable talk about the upcoming season's on-track action.
Drivers, car owners, pit crew members, and speedway representatives will be on hand to welcome race fans to another year of dirt track action at
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY! "We're really excited with Sugar Loaf Ford of Winona's planned involvement with our 2010 car show", said Bob Timm - one
of the members of MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY's Owners Group, "It will be great to have our car show indoors and with plenty of room - it's the
perfect way to comfortably get the racers and the race fans together before the season starts."
"During the off-season, the racers are working in their garages and the race fans are focused on other interests", continued Timm, "But, this gives everyone
the chance to get excited about the upcoming season. And for those area residents who have maybe never even been to a race track before, this gives them an
opportunity to get an up-close look at these machines. Maybe ask a few questions, about racing in general, to some of the drivers, or owners, or even some
of the MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY staff who'll be on hand at the show."
The 2010 car show will act as the official kick-off of the 2010 racing season and will be followed-up on April 14th with the season's first on-track action
as drivers (and fans) are invited to the track for an Open Practice Session! Driver's will get the chance to test their cars and the track in preparation
for the season of activities at MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY (scheduled to get underway with the season opener on Friday April 16th).
So, mark your calendars and get into that racing frame of mind . . . the 2010 season is almost upon us!!!
