WINONA, MN (March 26, 2012) - Even though the racing "off season" was comprised of a mild winter, racers and race fans alike are to the point where
they can't wait any longer for the 2012 dirt-track season to get underway; and MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY is all too happy to oblige!
As in years past, the first steps to an energetic 2012 season will begin with the official unveiling of racing hardware at the annual pre-season car
show. But, as a twist this season, the MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY Car Show will be accompanied by a Swap Meet!
Saturday April 7th, from 10:30 to 1:30, the 2012 MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY Car Show / Swap Meet will be held at Sugarloaf Ford (on the
sunny side of Highway 61!) - the 1:30 ending time will leave enough time so that everyone, racers and fans alike, can still get to Deer Creek
Speedway to enjoy (or compete, as the case may be) a full night of racing action, weather permitting. While the new 2012 hotrods are being unveiled
to the race-fans inside the warmth of the spacious Sugar Loaf Ford Service Center Garage Area - the north end of the Sugar Loaf Ford car lot will be
opened up for the first ever MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY Swap Meet. Racers who want to sell parts are welcome to set up outside, in the
North lot - the swap meet is free and open for everyone and runs the same time as the car show.
As in years past, pop and hotdogs will be served while supplies last for all in attendance, compliments of Hy-Vee of Winona and the Coca-Cola
Bottling Company of Winona.
At the end of the show, a "Best In Show" award will be presented to one displayed racer based upon popular vote; and to show their appreciation for
those racers who attend the car show, MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY will be giving one pit pass and two regular admission tickets that can be
used at any 2012 regular race event.
