FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

FOUNTAIN CITY, WI (Tuesday May 21, 2012) MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY is happy to welcome another Dan to the speedway microphones for the 2012 racing season! Veteran racing announcer Dan Deicher is joining the current voice of MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY, Dan Bailey, to form a "Double the Dans 2012 Racing Tour" presentation for announcing the race action at the West-Central Wisconsin Dirt Track.

Deicher brings along with him a wealth of dirt track announcing experience as he has previous dirt track announcing stints as track announcer at the Manitowoc Expo Speedway in Manitowoc, WI. and the radio voice of the Knoxville Speedway in Knoxville, Iowa.

MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY owner Bob Timm is excited to bring Deicher on board for the 2012 season, "Dan's announcing style is energetic and fun. I think his style and personality will mix in and play very well with our current announcer Dan Bailey. Both of the Dan's have an energy level and a deep enjoyment of announcing dirt track racing that I think makes them a natural and perfect pair to present the on-track action at MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY to the fans."

Deicher also brings with him a media presence that ads yet another layer to the current exposure enjoyed by MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY in the area. In addition to hosting a weekly half an hour racing show on a local cable TV station, Deicher also presents the MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY Race Report radio show heard Saturday's from 4-5 PM on AM 580 WKTY.

This new media exposure presented by Deicher joins the existing media coverage that Bailey brings to the speedway - the "THUNDER TALK" radio program is entering is third season, presented Wednesday evenings at 7 PM on Winona Radio's KG 95.3 FM; while Bailey's "Live Trackside" is embarking upon it's 22nd year of broadcasting with it's 6:15 PM half hour program broadcast live from the pits at MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY on Winona Radio's KW Country 99.3 FM, KG-Kountry 13-80 AM and streamed live on WinonaRadio.com!

"To have a fellow announcer in Dan (Deicher) joining me in the booth this season is going to be great for everyone," said Bailey about the new announcing line up for 2012, "Both of us have almost the exact same heritage with regards to racing and radio . . . and I think this will make for a very cohesive duo which will create a fun and informative presentation for racers and fans alike this year at MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY."

"I'm a huge fan of dirt racing," added Deicher, "it's what I grew up with. And, man, when I can spend a Friday evening announcing to the fans as these racers peddle it three and four wide on the banking here at MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY, well, I know that it doesn't get much better than that anywhere!"

Both Dan Bailey and Dan Deicher have a back ground in motorsports announcing that is almost unparalleled in the region.

Along with announcing at MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY since its opening in 2009, Dan Bailey has announced Stock Car racing at Deer Creek Speedway, Fox Ridge Speedway, The WISSOTA 100 at Rice Lake Speedway, La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway, Tri-Oval Speedway, & the Winona County Speedway. In addition to stock car racing, Bailey also announces Motorcycle SuperCross races throughout the Wisconsin/Minnesota/Iowa tri-state area.

Along with his new announcing duties at MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY for the 2012 season Dan Deicher continues his involvement as track announcer at The La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway and Coulee Go-Kart Raceway along with his 15 previous years of speedway announcing at facilities such as Manitowoc Expo Speedway in Manitowoc, WI. and as the radio voice of the Knoxville Speedway in Knoxville, Iowa

MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY's "Double the Dans 2012 Racing Tour" kicked off Friday night May 27th with the season opener, and has enjoyed a strong run and positive reception from fans and racers alike already over the first few events. If you haven't been out to witness the action or experience the "Double the Dans 2012 Racing Tour" visit MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY Friday nights and "FEEL THE THUNDER"!
