Winona, MN (Saturday December 5th, 2015) – Friends, Family, Fans, and Fun; those are just a few of the aspects of local racing that continue to make
it so popular. But the competition of the sport is always one of the highlights, and those who can best the competition are always rewarded. For the
seventh year in a row, the racers, their families, crew members, car owners, sponsors, & speedway staff joined together at Winona's Riverport Inn &
Suites to remember the completed racing season and celebrate those who enjoyed a successful season, at MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY's
2015 Championship Banquet.
After a delicious dinner presented by the Riverport Inn & Suites staff, it was time to begin the awards portion of the evening.
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY owner Bob Timm began by announcing, much to the delight of racers, that 2016 will continue on much of the success enjoyed
in 2015:
- USRA Ltd Late Models will return for a second year of growth,
- USRA A Mods will return for another season,
- USRA B Mods will return for another season,
- WISSOTA Super Stocks will return for another season,
- MTS Hornets and 600 Mods will return for another season,
- Action will resume on "The LIGHTNING SPEEDWAY" as the future competitors of the sport return for another season in Slingshots,
- USRA Hobby Stocks will take the place of MTS Sportsman to continue the offer of a full-bodied entry level division
Super Stock competitors will enjoy the fact that Jay Orrichio and Coordinated Business Systems along with Jeff Brauer
and Brauer Roofing Inc. will be returning for another season of involvement with bonus money. Coordinated Business Systems will once again return
as the division's title sponsor.
Then it was time for MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY announcers Dan Bailey and Dan Deicher to pass out the hardware! The top-5 finishers in the point
standings of all 8 weekly MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY divisions, as well the Liquid Nitro 600 Mod Touring Series, were awarded with Trophies
(ranging in size from 3 to 6 feet in height), and the top-10 in the one WISSOTA and three USRA divisions were also given
their series points fund checks.

MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY enjoyed presenting its 7th season of top-notch dirt track action in Fountain City, WI. The high-banked 1/3 mile
dark-clay oval is quickly becoming known as one of the best speedways in the upper Midwest presenting dirt track racing in a fan and family friendly
atmosphere every Friday night throughout the racing season. Plans are already being made for the 8th season of action - 2016!
