KANZ, ANGST & JUMBECK RACE BACK TO VICTORY LANE AT MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY!

Hofer, Krause, Reps, & Stockhausen Also Winners On Severson Oil Night

FOUNTAIN CITY, WI (Friday August 11, 2017) – Some notes from this past Friday night at Mississippi Thunder Speedway.

KANZ RACES BACK TO VICTORY LANE AFTER MINOR MID-SEASON SLUMP

Erik Kanz made the Black Horse Bar & Grill USRA B-Mod points battle even closer by picking up his 4th win of 2017 Friday night. Kanz has gone to victory lane 18 times in his career at MTS which has him tied with Jeff Brauer for 12th on that list. With only two weeks left Kanz is just 5 points back of Alex Williamson but the crazy part is at 5 points back he's still in 4th in points! Flyin' Ryan Olson is second just 1 point back and Parker Hale is third just 2 points back! Should be an exciting last 2 weeks to see who brings home the 2017 USRA Black Horse Bar & Grill B Mod track championship between these 4 very talented drivers.

ANGST STARING DOWN ANOTHER TITLE WITH ANOTHER FEATURE WIN

Josh Angst picked up Rivercity Manufacturing USRA Modified win #3 on the 2017 season. That was the 31st time Josh has gone to victory lane at MTS which has him tied for 3rd on the all-time wins list with Joe Provinzino.

HOFER'S LATE MODEL DOMINATION CONTINUES

Lance Hofer held off some tough competition to capture Centerville Welding & Repair USRA Late Model win #9 in 2017. His 23rd career win (21 Late Model and 2 A mod) put him in a tie for 7th with Lucas Schott on MTS' all-time wins list.

JUMBECK JUMPS BACK TO VICTORY LANE

Kyle Jumbeck soared to the high side to get his 2nd redbox+ 600 Mod feature win in 2017 and 22nd career trip to Dahl Chevrolet victory lane. Kyle is just one win behind Hofer and Schott for 7th in career wins at MTS. Though Kyle is out of the hunt for his third straight track championship, 3 other drivers still have a very good chance to capture the 2017 crown in the Redbox+ 600 mod division. Greg Wohletz leads Bruce Schmitt by 7 points and Chris Gilbertson by just 10 points! Can Greg capture is 2nd MTS track championship or will Chris or Bruce see their name for the first time as MTS track champion?

KRAUSE CRUISES TO THIRD STRAIGHT WIN

Travis Krause made it a hat trick Friday night by winning his 3rd straight feature in the Jailhouse Saloon USRA Hobby Stock division. With only a few weeks left in the regular season, can anyone stop this hot streak he is on?

"SARGE" IS IN COMMAND - SCHLOEGEL WINS AGAIN

Last but not least Jason Schloegel buzzed around Jason Bauer on the last lap to win his 3rd feature of 2017. Jason had not found victory lane before this year but is beginning to make it a regularity. With the third annual Harmston Trucking Hornet Swarm coming up this week can Jason make it 3 wins in a row or will somebody else be standing in victory lane $1,000 richer?

REPS AND STOCKHAUSEN RACE TO SLINGSHOT WINS ON LIGHTNING SPEEDWAY

The #29 "GlitterGirl" Lily Reps raced to her very first Sunshine Refuse Sr. Slingshot feature win on The LIGHTNING SPEEDWAY.

The Sunshine Refuse Jr. Slingshot feature was won by Mason Stockhausen.

All 6 classes will be on tap again this Friday night as only 2 weeks are left in the 2017 regular season! Hope to see you all this Friday night at Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, WI to "Feel the Thunder"
