WINONA, MN (Spring/Summer 2011) - Since it's grand opening in the spring of 2009, one of the main efforts of MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY has been to try to "GIVE BACK" to those charities that populate area surrounding one of the fastest 1/3-Mile dirt tracks in the upper mid-west.

Race fans are a supportive group . . . given the opportunity to have a little fun while, at the same time, providing out-of-pocket support for a local charity -- they'll gladly open their purse or wallet and get involved.

Thus was born the MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY 50/50 FUNdraiser! Any one at the track, has a chance to buy into this charity supporting activity; one ticket only costs a single dollar. Get six tickets for $5, and a whopping THIRTY tickets for only $20! At the end of the evening the total money's raised will be "split"; and, as the name implies, half will go directly to the evening's charity, while the other half will go to the lucky race fan holding the other half of the ticket stub that has been drawn as the evening's winner!

Hence the name "the MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY 50/50 FUNdraiser!"
