BIG BONUS MONEY, BIG NAMES AND BIG FUN VISIT MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY
Again this season,
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY was graced with the presence of a pack of visiting
drivers as other tracks in the area couldn't handle all the moisture Mother Nature poured down on the area. The
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY
track crew worked all week to stay ahead of the forces of nature, and aside from the extreme low line which held waters through the mid-week rains
and couldn't quite handle the pounding from the competitors cars, the rest of the track laid in extremely well and allowed the drivers three
distinct grooves from which to choose as they were battling their competitors.
On an evening when the Rivercity Manufacturing USRA Modified division had more than 20 championships represented by the drivers on track, it was
the Coordinated Business Systems WISSOTA Supers Stocks division that had everyone talking.
Compliments of an ingeniously designed "Roll Forward" Bonus program, the 23 Super Stock drivers were battling for $700 worth of bonus money from
Coordinated Business Systems and Brauer Roofing, Inc. $400 of which was for the evening's feature winner, $200 for the second place finisher, and
$100 for the driver completing the top-3.
Needless to say, the field was strong and the on-track action was exciting . . . .

MOTHER NATURE WINS ROUND 2 AT MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY
What a difference a single week can make! The Friday April 25th season opener at
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER
SPEEDWAY was met with blue sky and sunshine which helped produced awesome racing action to start the 2014 season at the high-banked 1/3 mile
dark-clay oval just three miles north of Fountain City, WI. But just as that opening night wrapped up, Mother Nature decided that a change of pace
was necessary for week number two.
And so, a soggy, wet and chilly week was presented to racers, race fans and speedway owners throughout the upper Midwest; and those soggy, wet and
chilly conditions erased all hopes of any on-track action Friday May 2nd at
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY.
So now attention is focused to round number three of the 2014 season - May 9th will see battles resume in all divisions on "The Big 1/3-Mile" as
well as the first of two visits to the fast, wide and sweeping turns of
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY of the United States Modified Touring
Series. . . .

MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY SALUTES JIM SCHELL
It is with great sadness that
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY reflects on the passing of a local racing
legend. While, sadly, former racers pass away every year,
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY thought that Jim Schell deserved our thoughts and
attention.
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY is, of course, located just north of Fountain City, WI on the exact location of the old "Tri-Oval Speedway", and it
was on this track that Jim Schell blazed a trail of speed like not many others. . . .

track crew worked all week to stay ahead of the forces of nature, and aside from the extreme low line which held waters through the mid-week rains
and couldn't quite handle the pounding from the competitors cars, the rest of the track laid in extremely well and allowed the drivers three
distinct grooves from which to choose as they were battling their competitors.

It is with great sadness that
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY reflects on the passing of a local racing
legend. While, sadly, former racers pass away every year,
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY thought that Jim Schell deserved our thoughts and
attention.
MISSISSIPPI THUNDER SPEEDWAY is, of course, located just north of Fountain City, WI on the exact location of the old "Tri-Oval Speedway", and it
was on this track that Jim Schell blazed a trail of speed like not many others. . . .
