Mississippi Thunder Speedway opened for on-track action in 2009 under new ownership and management. The speedway today is a completely remodeled, state-of-the-art racing facility.

Formerly Tri-Oval Speedway a landmark 3/8 mile oval dirt racing track founded in 1968. In the fall of 2008 the previous owner of Tri-Oval Speedway made the decision to sell the track to Bob Timm who has turned many laps around the track as a driver over the years. Bob's accomplishments as a driver provide the knowledge to bring the track to the next level in Wissota Country.

At the close of 2008 season, work began to reshape the once three turn configuration into a high banked sweeping four corner track sure to excite the best-of-the-best.
